I'm In!
Heather again. So, a few weeks ago, I applied to Utah State University. Yesterday, I got a letter. Guess what? I'm in! I'm a USU Aggie! I'm very excited. This was my first choice of college. In a few weeks, I'm going up to visit the campus. I'm just hoping for a good scholarship. We'll see how that goes.

ASL Boot Camp
Heather speaking. This past weekend, I went up to Camp Williams, an Army camp, for an ASL Boot Camp. This is when American Sign Language students from a whole bunch of schools around Utah get together. We had 21 hours of absolutely no talking. We could only communicate through sign language. I had a total blast. It was such an incredible experience. I only wish it had been longer than it was. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

After Christmas Stuff
Brent and I left the day after Christmas, his birthday, and drove down to Vegas for a few days. I just love the Bellagio... the conservatory and the fountains are always a must see when I go down there. Yes, I go often! Sometimes the gardens haven't even been changed since I was there the time before...

Brent had to go BACK to Vegas the following week and was going to be gone through the weekend. So I drove down there on Friday after school... He was staying at the Venetian and it is worth staying at!! When I left to come home on Sunday, Becca came with me to spend the week. We had such fun visiting and teaching her some sewing. Her apron turned out sooooo cute!!
While she was here we got together with another dear friend that we had grown up with. Robbie and Becca hadn't seen each other in 20 years! Looks like everyone picked up where they left off. It was a great night!!! Love these people!

The Diary of Anne Frank
Heather again. Well, it's finally here. After a month and a half of work and rehearsal, my high school is performing The Diary of Anne Frank. It's a cast of 10 people, and I've been loving it. I play the part of Miep, and if you don't know who that is, don't worry. She's one of the people who helps the people in hiding. This is the first play that I've really had a part, and the first non-musical I've ever been in. It's definitely been a new experience for me and completely worth it. If you want to come see it, feel free. We opened last night, and we're performing tonight and Monday night. It's a great show, if I do say so myself. ;-)

Heather's new play.
So, my high school is doing The Diary of Anne Frank for our winter play. I tried out last Tuesday, and was thrilled to get callbacks on Thursday. Then, the cast list came out on Friday, and I got the part of Miep! I'm very excited. This is going to be a great cast, and a great experience for me. Wish me luck!

Happy New Year
Hey everyone, Heather here. I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year. I hope this next year holds all the delight and joy that you deserve.
I discovered a new way of bringing in the New Year, thanks to a friend of mine. It's called a Polar Bear Plunge. I don't know if this is just a Utah thing, but I'd never heard of it before. It's where a bunch of people get together and jump into a pond on January 1st. What genius came up with that? I'll admit though, I did it, and, while it was freezing, it was actually kind of fun. I think I'll do it again next year as well.
So, however you chose to hail the New Year, I hope you had fun, and I hope this year will be great for you all.
