Memories

Here is the memory game I got from Jaimee:

The Acrobat

Cameron on the trampoline doing his double back flip. He has worked long and hard to get it down perfect. His dream is to do the flip on solid ground. Don't know that my heart could take it! If you look closely you will also notice that there is no hair flying. He just had me buzz his head. He looks so different!

Girls Camp

Girls Camp for church was last week. These pictures show a little bit of the fun that we had. If I could have camped in the gorgeous mountains when I was a youth then I might have gone to camp... who am I kidding? But I do have fun now going as an adult leader. And obviously my girls love it. That is Tori with the rest of the bishopric daughters... Whitney on the left and Nicole in the middle. Heather just loves camp- completely gets into the whole experience.

One morning we got up at 5am to hike up to Lookout Point to watch the sun rise. We sang some songs and just enjoyed nature. It was beautiful- I just didn't get too close to the edge. Our camp was somewhere above 8000 feet and we climbed higher to get here.

Our theme was Holidays. The first night there we went trick-or-treating around to the other cabins. Yes, most of us slept in cabins. Though our group had 5 tents too. We took 39 girls from our ward. We were by far the largest group there.

With the holiday theme, we also did a service project. we made wreaths to hang on the doors of a local assisted living home. This is Heather and her friend Georgina working on the March wreaths.

Every night before bed, we had a bedtime story. Tori read to us the first night. She read "You Are Special" by Max Lucado. Then she had written every single girl a note telling them how special they were. It was very nice.

This is just some silliness that goes along with girls camp.

Even Brent got to come up one night with the bishopric. They got involved with the silliness and did a skit of their own.

Visiting Family in Washington

We were in Washington at Brent's parents' house for the Fourth of July. His sisters, Tara and Karen, were there with their families. His brothers, Aaron and Todd live nearby. So we got to visit with lots of cousins! All the cousins enjoyed just talking lots, but they also had lots of activity and fun...

Some of the favorite activities were of course- swimming #1!

There were also a few rousing games of Ultimate Frisbee in the school yard across the street. Brent enjoyed playing until he hurt his back- kinda put a damper on the rest of his visit. But the rest of them played on and on.

A favorite Linde family game is 'Set'. The one to beat is Uncle Todd...

The game is based on patterns, shapes and colors. You really have to have the brain that thinks, sees, and processes quickly!

I can't leave out the dogs... Brent's parents have a dog, we brought Spankie, and Karen brought their dog. One night Tori was eating beef jerky and can you tell that the dogs wanted a taste?The culminating activity of the visit was Grandpa Linde taking the kids to the Columbia River Temple to do baptisms. There were 8 cousins and they were all baptized for family names. What a great experience!!

At the Lake

We went to the lake with my parents, my brother Jake and sister-in-law Terry, my 2 nieces- Alison and Lucy, Tori, Cameron and me. Lucy is in the middle picture with Tori and Alison is on the right. As you can see, Tori loves to water ski.

While we were in Missouri we spent one day at Lake Wappepello. It was a perfect lake day- not too hot and not too crowded. Cameron had fun knee-boarding, tubing and swimming.

Taylor Family Luau

The kids and I have been in Missouri visiting my family. My aunts, Sharon and Charlotte, put together a huge luau for the kids. It was really alot of fun. The weather cooperated beautifully and we had lots of good food. They had games for the kids to play and they all enjoyed getting to know each other better.
